The Appliances

Because the killer in this film is *not* Jason, a fully detailed creature design was unnecessary even though production wanted something close to The Final Chapter design. Louis Lazarra ended up sculpting a full face replica of the Part 4 design but we only ever see it on film as a "hood" with the face cut out when it is being worn by Tom Morga and Johnny Hock.

The Mask

Friday the 13th Part 5: A New Beginning saw several different hockey masks appear throughout. The main masks used were created by removing the straps from the Hero Part 4 hockey mask, making a mold, and creating a buck from that. The masks were then Vacuum-formed overtop that casting. They each had differences in paint, but mainly it appears they were made with a cream base and several washes of browns and greys overtop the masks. The main mask, dubbed the "Roy" mask, had blue chevron stickers while the others had the classic red chevron.
We see a total of 4 masks on screen. One "Roy" mask used throughout filming, the "grave scene" mask used in the opening of the film, the "window" mask, as well as the Hero Part 4 hockey mask.
  • None of the 3 masks pulled for the film have ever surfaced. The only mask seen in this film that we know the location of is the Hero Part 4 mask that graced the screen briefly.

Roy's Outfit

In this installment, Jason or "Roy" ditches the classic look and opts for his costume to be a pair of spruce green coveralls. The screen used pair fits the generic pattern tossed around for many years, so it is nearly impossible to narrow down a specific brand. They were more than likely vintage Red Kaps, or at the very least these make an awesome alternative.
The make and model of Roy's boots are currently unknown, but are in the process of being Identified. All we know for now is that they are some type of brown work boot, heavily weathered.
Roy uses several weapons throughout this film including a 22" Vintage Collins Model 127 machete, a vintage double hit axe, vintage hedge trimmers, and a Dexter 5289 Meat Cleaver.

Grave/Hallucination Jason's Outfit

The overall costume worn by Grave Jason and Hallucination Jason are the same, but the brand of shirt worn is unknown. Observant eyes will spot that the pattern is a dead giveaway that it is heavily weathered vintage olive green Sears/Big Mac button down work shirt.
The pants worn by grave/hallucination Jason are, like parts 3 and 4, weathered silver khaki pants.
The boots worn by these two Jason iterations are not identified, but it is highly likely that they are weathered brown work boots like most of the previous films.
For weapons, Grave Jason wields a vintage 22" Collin's & Co Guatemala machete and Hallucination Jason carries a vintage double hit axe.
